At Neurogen Biomarking LLC ("Neurogen"), we are committed to protecting the privacy and security of our patients' health information. We adhere strictly to the standards set forth by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) and all applicable federal and state privacy laws.

Scope

This policy applies to all employees, contractors, vendors, and partners who may have access to protected health information (PHI) collected, stored, or transmitted by Neurogen.

Neurogen collects and uses health information only for purposes related to:

  • Providing and coordinating cognitive and biomarker testing services
  • Conducting virtual consultations with licensed medical professionals
  • Complying with clinical guidelines and regulatory reporting requirements
  • Improving diagnostic accuracy and care pathways for neurodegenerative disease

We will not use or disclose PHI for any purpose other than those permitted or required under HIPAA without the patient's written authorization.

Patient Rights

Breach Notification

In the event of a data breach involving unsecured PHI, Neurogen will notify affected individuals, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), and any other applicable regulatory bodies in accordance with HIPAA's Breach Notification Rule.
